Each session is structured differently, so the length of your oral presentation will vary. The length of your presentation will be communicated to you by the session convenor prior to the conference.
Speakers should upload their presentation through the submission system by 16 September 2024, 10 am (CEST) (ppt, pptx or pdf, (for posters also jpg or jpeg) file name “Session number_Author_short title presentation”, max. 35 MB). As back-up, take a copy of your file with you on USB to the conference.
Here you can find the guidelines for presentation and poster upload.
Oral presentations will only be accepted as MS PowerPoint or PDF presentations in the preferred format: 16:9. Correct presentations in other formats cannot be guaranteed. Please make use of standard fonts only. We recommend Apple users to test their presentation on a Windows computer. The usage of a personal laptop computer to ensure correct display of complex presentations such as movies etc. will NOT be accepted.
Projection from a PC is available in all lecture halls. All PCs are equipped with Windows, Powerpoint, Adobe Reader and Windows Media Player. If you plan to insert a video in your presentation, please inform conference office in advance.
Your presentation must be given in English. Remember that most participants do not have English as their mother language, therefore please speak clearly and slowly.
During the conference:
If you would like to check, whether your presentation works satisfactorily, please come to the room where your presentation is assigned at least few hours before your session.
Power Point presentation will be opened by the technical staff in “Presenter view” mode.
If you have questions before your presentation, please contact the staff in the room.
Please prepare your poster in DIN A0 (841 mm x 1189 mm), upright format (Portrait!!!) as the poster boards will not accommodate "landscape" formats. Please note that the organiser is not able to provide a printout of posters. In case you wish to additionally distribute DIN A4 copies of your poster, please bring them along.
Here you will find the template for the posters that you can use voluntarily.
The poster must contain the following elements: title, author(s) and institution (positioned at the top); a brief introduction, methods, results and conclusions (positioned further down the poster).
A poster is not a vehicle to present the details normally contained in a scientific paper. Make certain that the message is clear and simple. The text should be kept to a minimum, and presentations, e.g., graphs, histograms and photographs are strongly encouraged.
Appropriate use of color improves the readability.
There will be a large poster exhibition on 18 September 2024. The posters of each session will be presented as close to each other as possible. During the poster exhibition, all attendees will have time to interact with the poster authors. Therefore, we kindly ask all poster authors to be available during the poster exhibition for discussions at the posters. There will be no guided poster sessions.
The printed posters (A0 portrait) should be brought to the conference. You will receive information about your poster wall at the registration desk.
There is no poster printing capacity at the conference venue, but Berlin has several copy shops which supply this service.
According to tradition, the best posters presented at Landscape 2024 Conferences are awarded with the best poster prize.
To participate in the Poster Prize, which will be awarded on 19 September 2024, you must upload your poster through the submission system by 16 September 2024, 10 am (CEST) (JPG, file name “Session number_Author_short title of poster”). As back-up, take a copy of your file with you on USB to the conference.
